St. Patrick is the patron Saint of Ireland together with St. Brigid.
St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th, is the presumed date of the Saint’s death.
The clover (Shamrock) is the symbol of the cult of St. Patrick and the symbol of Ireland as a nation.
Legends tell that the Saint would have used the clover to explain to his disciples the parable of the Trinity: with a very simple parallel, he would have made it clear how it is possible that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit could live together in the same essence.
